Bethany’s Department of Pastoral Services is comprehensive in its scope: 

Each resident’s continued regular contact with their own clergy and faith community is valued, encouraged, and facilitated.  To supplement this primary care, Bethany’s staff chaplains provide weekday study and worship opportunities and Sunday worship services for our Nursing Home and Assisted Living residents, and are available to respond to residents’ specific needs for personal pastoral care, regardless of faith or denomination.

The Department Director is also available to any of Bethany’s employees to help support them in their commitment to provide loving as well as skilled care to our residents.  Understanding that spiritual care cannot be departmentalized, but rather is present in every dimension of care-giving. The Pastoral Department seeks to work closely and supportively with all other departments within the Bethany family.

Pastoral Services also extends its resources to area clergy and congregations, offering education, consultation, and training regarding their own ministries with older adults, as well as opportunities for volunteer training and involvement within Bethany’s facilities.
