Pastoral Care

residents
Each resident’s continued regular contact with their own clergy and worshipping community is valued, encouraged and facilitated. To supplement this primary care, Bethany’s Pastoral Services Director and Chaplains are Lutheran pastors who have been trained to provide spiritual support to all faith practices and backgrounds. Staff chaplains provide Sunday and weekday worship and study opportunities for our Nursing and Assisted Living facilities as well as our apartment complex.

Employees
Chaplains are also available to Bethany’s employees to help support them in their commitment to provide loving as well as skilled care to our residents. Pastoral Services works with Bethany’s other departments as a “team” to make sure that residents receive complete overall care. We look at each employee’s vocation as a ministry of God’s work in each of our facilities by showing love and concern in all that they do. Our chaplains are available to help facilitate a spiritual presence among both residents and employees.

community
Pastoral Services also extends its resources to not only our sponsoring congregations, but to the entire church and clergy community within the area we serve. Some of the offerings include education, consultation, and training opportunities regarding ministries with older adults. To this end, Pastoral Services offers a full range of spiritual and educational care inside and outside its facilities to help residents, employees, and the church community with exceptional pastoral care and resources.
